We had a great month of September! When I introduced the unit about the Rights we have in the USA someone asked “what about our lefts?” but by the end of the month everyone could share different Rights we have as American citizens. I hope everyone has a great Fall Break, whether you’re traveling or enjoying a staycation!
Our Unique Learning System unit for October is Science Fair. We will read stories about a Science Fair and students completing experiments. We will also use additional texts to discuss character, setting and identifying key details in a text. In math we will focus more on subtraction this month as well as review addition and work on time, money and place value. We will work on information writing to tell about the science experiments/ STEAM activities we complete. In science we will study life science and physical science. We’ll continue cooking in October – it’s been a favorite with everyone’s kids! We’ll be making pumpkin waffles, Ants on a Log, Ice Cream in a Bag and Witch Fingers. Thank you so much for helping to send in supplies, it’s such a big help and so appreciated!
